Use a shipping
method that is trackable, and please, do not require a signature. Do not call
or email for an RMA, as they are un-necessary. Just return it with a self
explanatory letter.Please provide payment when the repair is returned.
Contacting the customer delays the process considerably.
Razor motors
carry a lifetime warranty against Manufacturing Defects only.
We will repair or replace the product at our option.
We do not pre-ship
replacements under any circumstances.
Bent or broken shafts, worn out
bearings, stripped threads, broken lead wires, crashes, etc. are not
manufacturing defects.
Non warranty replacement of a motor is 50% of
list price, including shipping.
We cannot warranty the gearbox, as
there are no replacement parts for it. If you allow it to come off, and you
lose the gears, the entire gearbox needs replacement. This charge is $45
including shipping. (usually, this occurs when the gearbox is not attached to
the airplane with the provided screws, and the motor body is clamped)
Remove all pinions, connectors, etc that you wish to keep. We do not
remove or return them. Do not cut the lead wires. If the motor is returned with
the lead wires cut off, so that there is no tinned end, there will be a $10
fee. If the wires have been cut so that the stator is not repairable, the
standard 50% fee will apply.
Bearing replacement is $15.
